Nurseries, schools, synagogues, chederim, workplaces, community groups and individuals all get involved, creating Toy Drive collection points where people can drop off new toys, ready to be delivered to children in hospital over the festive season.
Our annual packing day sees teams of fantastic volunteers helping sort out all the toys, ready to be delivered by more of our wonderful volunteers to over 120 hospital wards and hospices throughout London, Hertfordshire, Essex and Manchester.
As well as the collections, we have an annual Amazon Wish List with gifts specifically chosen for the seriously ill children Camp Simcha supports. Each year, over 350 toys are purchased, bringing lots of smiles to the children’s faces.
If your school, nursery, shul, cheder, community group or workplace wants to hold their own Toy Drive collection for us, contact Joanne who can arrange for boxes and marketing materials to be delivered to you. All you need to do is collect the toys; we will do the rest! If you would like to volunteer for our packing day, please email us.
Watch the video below to follow the toys’ journey, from when you put your toy in our collection box to it being sorted at our Toy Drive packing day and then delivered to the children in hospital!
Thank you so much for all the fabulous gifts that were donated to the Children’s Community team in Harrow. All the gifts were received with thanks and joy by our children and their families.
