Studies reveal that interactions with animals increase endorphins, promoting relaxation, reducing pain and creating relief and joy
Our animal assisted therapy service is very popular and well-received by all the families who have dogs coming to visit
Camp Simcha’s 11 volunteer dogs and their owners make weekly visits to our families. It is not only the ill child who reaps the benefits – parents feed back to us that the dog visits bring a feeling of joy and calm to the whole household.
For me it was wonderful watching Charlotte express herself like any other child, after all she had been through. Just seeing her face every time Herbie came in, full of life and running around the garden playing ball with him, was amazing.
