Why it’s #oknottobeok during a pandemic  by Sophie Watson

This project is supported by https://iasservices.org.uk and https://iasservices.org.uk/london/

It’s been an incredibly tough time since the pandemic hit, and we have been isolated more than ever before. With the help of Camp Simcha, you don’t have to be alone. We are right there with you and your family, every single step of the way. We promised we’d make a difference and now is the time you need us the most. We are here to get through this together.

Here at Camp Simcha, we would like to remind you …

  1. You’re living through a time you’ve never experienced before

It’s been difficult, but we know you’re doing the best you can.

  1. You feel trapped because your freedom has been restricted

We’re looking forward to hearing about your family trips out in the UK very soon.

3.It’s an extremely stressful time

Remember to make some time for yourself every now and again, you deserve it.

  1. You miss your friends and family

Whether it’s just a phone call and a text message, reach out to your loved ones.

  1. Sometimes you just need a hug

We would love to be able to give you a big squeeze!

  1. You can’t plan things to look forward to

Yet. There are many beautiful memories with your family to be made.

  1. You’re living your life under a new schedule

Whatever you’re doing to suit you and your family is enough. You’re doing great.

  1. You can’t go on holiday – even though you deserve one

We would love to hear about you and your children having an amazing time at the beach!

  1. You’re emotional because you’re human

You are extremely strong, don’t forget that.

  1. Everyone is going through this – we’re in it together

Remember, Camp Simcha will always be there for support.

We have been making a difference to seriously ill children and their families for the past 25 years, and this year especially, we want to be there for you in any way we can. By supporting the hashtag #itsoknottobeok, we want you to know that it really is ok not to be ok, especially during a pandemic.

We are here for you.

Love,

Camp Simcha
