Insurance company YuLife has donated a gift to the Camp Simcha Toy Drive on behalf of each one of their employees – for children spending the festive season in hospital.

The London-based company is supporting the charity’s annual Toy Drive after being introduced to the project by their employee Maya Levy.

For the past five years Maya, 27, from North West London, has spearheaded her own collection to feed into the Toy Drive, in memory of her friend Daniella Moffson, who died tragically in a bus crash in 2016, when she was volunteering in Honduras during her holidays.

The annual event sees Camp Simcha distributing some 10,000 gifts to children of all denominations in hospitals and hospices throughout London, Hertfordshire, Essex and Manchester.

Miss Levy said US-born Daniella, who she met while she was on her gap year, was training to be a paediatrician and also volunteered for Camp Simcha’s sister organisation in the USA.

“Daniella spent her life giving to others and through the Toy Drive and other charitable initiatives, we have been able to continue her incredible legacy. Buying a toy online is so simple, but it brings so much joy to the children who receive them, just as Daniella brought joy to all those who met her.”

Founder and CEO of YuLife Sammy Rubin adds: “We are thrilled to support such an important initiative by one of our employees and we are grateful for the opportunity to be part of a meaningful and worthwhile cause.”
