TV presenter Tania Bryer brought bags of joy to sick children spending the holidays in hospital when she joined the Camp Simcha Toy Drive team at Watford General Hospital.

The UK charity, which supports families coping with serious childhood illness, collected a record 8,000 toys and gifts to distribute to children of all denominations spending Chanukah and Christmas in over 110 hospital wards and hospices in and around London and Manchester.

More than 70 schools, nurseries and community groups collected toys as part of the charity’s annual drive.

Throughout the year Camp Simcha directly supports Jewish families who have a sick child, through a range of 24/7 practical and emotional support services, as well as powerful positive experiences to improve the quality of life for the children.
