Are you ready to challenge yourself and go that ‘extra mile’? Have you satisfied that running bug and are now looking for more? If so then join Team Camp Simcha as we take on the Salford Triathlon. With the choice of 3 races, whether you are new to the world of triathlons and want a new challenge, or an experienced triathlete, this is a challenge for anyone who wants to push themselves whilst raising vital funds for seriously ill children.

Is this your first triathlon? If you’re testing the waters why not try the Sprint race? With the solo sprint available, this is an excellent entry into the world of a triathlete.

Perhaps you are an experienced triathlete and would like to take on the Standard race? Participate as a solo triathlete or in the Standard Relay with a team composed of either 2 or 3 people. This is the perfect race to push yourself to achieve your personal best or maybe just find out how far you can challenge yourself.

Standard Swim 1.5km Cycle 40km Run 10km Individuals race where you compete in single sex or mixed waves
Standard Relay Swim 1.5km Cycle 40km Run 10km Team race (2 or 3 people) of single or mixed gender where each member completes part of the race

About the event:

The swim will take place in Dock 9, MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, a World Class aquatics venue that historically hosted the 2002 Commonwealth Games. Once the swim is complete, you will emerge from the water and run 150m into the transition area in the Plaza at MediaCityUK, where you will mount your bikes and begin the eight lap (four for sprint distance) 5km cycle leg. The course is flat and fast, along with some fantastic technical sections around MediaCityUK. The route travels through Trafford Park, alongside the new set of Coronation Street, past the Imperial War Museum and under the shadows of one of the most famous football grounds in the world, Old Trafford.
On completion of the cycle leg, you will arrive back at MediaCityUK and into the transition area, where you’ll rack your bicycles and set off on the final leg – the run. Pass Mariners Canal and Dock 9 as your re-enter MediaCityUK and cross the finish line.
In the Relay, you can compete in teams of 3 or fewer, each person will complete just one or two legs of the race. If this is your first triathlon experience or you’re not yet comfortable with all three disciplines, this option is the perfect to get started on your triathlon journey, with the added bonus of having a team for support!

This is to cover the cost of your place and to raise funds for our vital Camp Simcha services.
