Camp Simcha’s Loftus Family B’nei Mitzvah Programme offers just this, with opportunities to be part of an organised fundraising walk and volunteering events, together with other young people who are celebrating their B’nei Mitzvah.
KICKSTARTER EVENING
Wednesday 14th October 2026
This is our launch event where the children will get to know each other, learn more about Camp Simcha and the work we do, as well as enjoy a fun, interactive activity together. We will also invite parents in to hear a presentation about the charity and meet our lovely team.
TOY DRIVE PACKING
Monday 7th December 2026
Our annual Toy Drive sees us sending in over 10,000 toys and gifts to children in hospitals. Your child will join us for a packing session – to help us sort and pack toys to deliver to 120 hospital wards and hospices.

PURIM PACKATHON
Wednesday 10th March 2027
Your child will help us prepare and pack hundreds of Purim gift packages (Mishloach Manot) for our Camp Simcha families, while taking part in other engaging, awareness-raising activities.
SPONSORED WALK
Sunday 9th May 2027
This is our 8-mile sponsored walk, commencing from our offices in Golders Green to the Whittington Hospital, where the children will deliver toys to seriously ill children and gifts for the nurses. We’ll help each child set up their own fundraising page to make it easy and fun to raise money for this special cause.
WHAT WE ASK OF PARTICIPANTS
– Attend as many programme events as possible.
– Learn about the work of Camp Simcha and help us raise awareness amongst your family and friends.
– Complete a fundraising challenge for Camp Simcha during your B’nei Mitzvah year.
Each participant will receive a goody bag at the start of the programme and a special gift on the occasion of their Bar or Bat Mitzvah. At the end of the programme, each participant will be given a certificate to acknowledge their incredible contribution to Camp Simcha.
AFTER THE PROGRAMME
After the programme, all children will be invited to become Young Ambassadors for Camp Simcha by taking part in occasional volunteering opportunities and representing the charity at their school.
