Avidan’s Mission: Raising money towards the Camp Simcha Special Care Baby project

‘We were thrown into a world which we didn’t know how to navigate – with no idea which way to turn. If one positive can come out of our nightmare, it will be that Avidan’s legacy is the creation of a ‘One Stop Shop’ service to help other parents in our situation. Through Camp Simcha, Avidan’s Mission aims to provide vital, bespoke support to parents with a premature baby, that one call you need to make to ensure you are supported on every step of the journey.’
Eitan & Gabriella Freilich

Avidan’s Mission was set up in February 2019 to support the funding towards Camp Simcha’s Special Care Baby project.
Nathaniel and Avidan were little twin boys born to Gabriella & Eitan Freilich at 28 weeks. Following 110 days in hospital Nathaniel came home, a happy, healthy little child ready to bring his goodness to the world. His little brother Avidan unfortunately passed away at just five weeks old. But his mission remained clear – the experience showed his parents how much more can be done to assist families with similar circumstances – a mission which is unfortunately required often for families it affects across the UK.

AVIDAN’S MISSION
THE CAMP SIMCHA SPECIAL CARE BABY PROJECT
Camp Simcha is here to support families of children with a serious illness. Our bespoke care is offered to families of babies born very prematurely
When a baby is born very prematurely, parents are thrown into a frightening world that they would never have imagined finding themselves in. We are here to be a one stop shop of support for parents caring for a premature baby.
We will offer case by case support to parents such as:
• Hospital transport and parking
• 24/7 Family Liaison Officer
• Expert therapeutic support
• Crisis food or cleaning support
• Support for siblings from our Big
Brother and Sister volunteers
• Emergency hospital bag with items specific to premature babies
And many other practical and emotional support services.

Your generation donations could provide:
£18 – 1 crisis household support session to help parents manage their household while they spend time with their baby
£50 – 4 weeks of sibling support to bring fun and laughter to other siblings at this challenging time
£180 – 3 emergency hospital bags with thoughtful items to comfort premature babies and vital essentials for parents
