Touchpoints Ambassadors programme

Since its launch in June 2019, our Touchpoints Ambassadors programme has already led to a 15% increase in referrals

When a child is seriously ill, Camp Simcha can make a vital difference to the lives of all of their family; but we can only do this if that family knows what we do and that we are here for all seriously ill children, across the whole spectrum of the Jewish community

Our TouchPoints Ambassadors project, established with the generous support of the Maurice Wohl Charitable Foundation, achieves this by appointing and training Camp Simcha TouchPoints Ambassadors within every class, team, club and communal group that Jewish children belong to.

Our target is for our TouchPoints Ambassadors to be our ‘eyes and ears’ at all places where parents are in touch with each other. In this way we can make sure no child that needs us slips through the net.

It’s a perfect volunteering role for people who are time-poor. All we ask is that if you hear of a child with a serious illness you make sure Camp Simcha knows about them.  You’ll receive a short training in order to learn more about the range of medical conditions that Camp Simcha supports, the services we provide, and to know how to refer families appropriately.
We will also make sure you feel comfortable working within the boundaries of privacy and data protection laws.
