Become a Big Brother/Sister

bigbrosisCamp Simcha ‘Big Brothers’ and ‘Big Sisters’ visit families on a regular basis at home or in hospital, in order to spend time with either the child who is sick or one of his/ her siblings. Children benefit immensely from individual, undivided attention from their Big Brother or Big Sister. Volunteers bring treats and take the children on outings, providing powerful positive experiences that have great emotional value. This often has the added advantage of providing some respite for parents. As the name suggests, our Big Brothers and Big Sisters form close, life-long bonds with their “Camp Simcha little brother or sister”.

In order to become a Big Brother or Big Sister, one makes the commitment to visit their ‘family’ on a weekly basis and must attend compulsory training.

The Big Brother and Big Sister programme runs in London, Manchester, Gateshead and Glasgow and is open to those aged 18 and above (post high school).
